Hello everyone. So, you're wondering to yourself "... what the hell is a PokéHybrid?" Well... you want to know? Fine. It's simple. I think...

a human + a Pokémon = a PokéHybrid.

... okay, it's not quite that simple, but you get the idea. Maybe I should just tell it to you straight...

A World Destroyed by Itself...

Approximately 6 years ago... the world has been screwed up 'cause people--trainers, and in some instances, even Pokémon are becoming drastically changed from their original forms... into the fusion of a human and a Pokémon. There are a few types of them, and a few probable causes for how the world has changed for the worse.

PokéHybrid: the partial transformation of a human to Pokémon

Pokémorph: the partial transformation of a Pokémon to human

Theories of PokéHybrid Origins

Psychic: an abnormally strong psychic attack could cause the infusion of a human and a Pokémon
Bioweapon: chemicals developed usually by Silph Co., Team Rocket, or a Ditto PokéHybrid itself, can change the DNA of a human or Pokémon to create a new PokéHybrid
Blood contact: the blood from an abnormal Pokémon alone could cause transformation

Okay, so you know how they're made and such.

But still, it's not that easy...

There are many varieties of PKH, big and small.

Normal: mostly human, with maybe a tail and other distinct features to the Pokémon. There are still some parts that are completely human, not evened out like a Pokémorph. It is estimated that 60% of all PKHs are in this form.

Example: A Charmander boy with red skin, snout, enlarged human eyes, human hair, claw-like fingernails, and a tail.

Legged: and I mean literally... This PKH has literally four human legs to move around upon. Most of the time Pokémon who move on all fours are like this. There's a small percentage (like Ash for example in my fic) that a biped Pokémon can turn out to be like this. An estimated 20% of all PKHs are like this.

Example: A Lapras girl with four long flipper legs and fat toes, a long neck and small horn, human eyes with a Lapras mouth/jaw, stretched stomach, hard-shelled back, tiny blue tail, and mostly blue skin, save for human-toned skin on the underside.

Taur: you know what centuars look like? Just replace the horse half with a Pokémon... It's somewhat like a Legged, but generally much bigger. Just over 10% of all PKHs are this type.

Example: Picture Laura Laramie, the country girl from the Pokémon series. Now give her a Rapidash lower half, like a centuar. She can still have human legs, and human feet, but the balls of the feet behind the toes are hooves. She can have the ears of a Rapidash, and a horn, mouth, and eyes placed on her head like a horse.

Abomination: this is the worst scenario for a poor creature ever to experience. It is a total mess of different Pokémon infused into one person, and usually looks like a total mess. Despite all of this... fortunately, less than 10% of all PKHs... have this fate.

Example: Think of your own...

The Levels of TFs

Lv.1: Small skin color change, some Pokémon parts, such as tail/horn may be present.

Lv.2: Skin is 25%-60% a Pokémon's, the Pokémon half definitely has a psychological part of emotion. Pokémon-human features are in small number.

Lv.3: Skin is from 75%-100% a Pokémon's. There is an emotional battle between Pokémon half and human half... Pokémon features are definitely present on the person...

Lv.4: If you haven't seen a PKH in your life, they could be labeled as PKMs... Most of their emotions are controlled by their Pokémon side. Considered a "perfect hybrid." They have Pokémon bodily structures with humanoid features. TR PKHs are generally like this. If encountered, there is a very slim chance to force human thought patterns. Usually acts like a Pokémon...

Rumors

Although it hasn't yet been proven, if you have seen an unusual, gentle Pokémon that seems to understand you more than normal Pokémon, and at the very least has somewhat human eyes, maybe something more, it could be a Lv.5 PKH. A human with an approximately 95% Pokémon body, but a human heart and soul.

Also, there are shapeshifters...
